For Thefreebitch. (Comments edited for privacy’s sake.)
A very quick, interesting, and fun challenge.
Bolin and Pabu from Legend of Korra. (Property of all appropriate parties, none of them me.)
… I get to reblog it because I drew it. So there.

Friends who kill zombies together …
… are awesome. It’s true.
This is a commission sketch for approval. A sequel to an older commission.
The likenesses will be tightened up. A lot. The weapons will be fleshed-out. (Chainsaws are too detailed to do much with in a sketch.)
The shaded bits in the background will, eventually, become zombies. The top is empty to accommodate some cool titles. (It’s supposed to look like an old movie poster, see.)

Full-body Dragon. With size reference.
Because Rambling and Roundlings got me thinking about it … and it actually took more thought than I’d anticipated. Totally worth doing.
The honest truth here is that I’ve never drawn a proper dragon before. I’ve done little goofy ones and dragons that are parts of logos or tattoos, but I’ve never taken the time to really consider the design of the whole thing.

So I *have* actually been alive. I’ve just had a serious case of art block. I end up doing things like this to get through it.
I’ve been arranging the specifics of the War of the Book story, and decided to assemble all the main cast. It’s a good thing to have around for my reference
Back Row: The Sad One, Lyu, Michael Blixtrande, Cial Paccini, Veargas Paccini
Middle Row: Matt Vitae, Peter Isen, Kunbish “Shetou”, Erzebet Smeden, Zarah Milgrom
Kids in the Front: Geneva, Tom Zuhan
and the dragon is … Dragon.
It’s at the ink stage. Nothing too spectacular, but it’s important in the long run.

The finished version of this in honor of Ramblings and Roundling’s birthday. It’s a few days late, but these things take time.
I know I said I wasn’t going to double-post stuff from Deviant Art, but there are a few people here who don’t see what I post there and they should see what something finished looks like sometimes. Not all the time, because that would get tedious. Also … because I can.
So there.

It started as a little sketch of Travis I was going to do in honor of Ramblings and roundlings’ birthday tomorrow … but it just kept getting bigger. The sketch will have to suffice for now. (I hope.)
He’s been a big Travis supporter, and I wanted to thank him. Travis is one of those characters who can be a little illusive when it comes to art. When he *does* cooperate, I just have to keep going until it’s over.
The story here is that Travis, who is a local spirit (for lack of a better definition), is trying to sneak home after an ill-fated party with Casanova (they never did find the hooker’s teeth) by going under the water of the Grand Canal.
I know the proportion of the wall behind him is wonky and more is exposed than usual … I’ll work that out. I just thought all the layers were cool.
Anyway I hope this, as unfinished as it is, counts for something. I’m just sorry it won’t be done on time!

Sketch for approval for my next commission. Character used with permission.
Finished version of the last commission here.

The latest commission sketch. Woo!
He has one of those really interesting faces. It looks one way in sketch, but will lighten up when it goes to color. I promise.

Dammit Scott! What are you doing there?
I don’t know if this guy has the acting ability to (in my potential dream land) play Scott, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t scary.
After a few months on the road, I imagine he’ll be right there.
I laughed my ass off when I saw him on TV. It’s weird seeing one’s own character as close to real as possible. Damn.
Mm. Well, so long as we’re going for scruffy on-the-road versions of S.G. characters, allow me to counter with this:

Good lord. I hadn’t seen that one before. Can you even grow a beard? Would you? Never mind. Let’s just finish this:

Now we’ve got all three. I still don’t think you’d grow a beard.
Go to bed Mark!
